Orlando will 'take a knee' for the Pro Bowl at Camping World Stadium
If you stand with former NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick
and oppose police brutality, then you can take a knee this coming Sunday.

“The purpose of the rally is to harness the energy of
nationwide protests into a direct call to end police brutality and to bridge
the gap of mistrust between communities of color and law enforcement,” said
local activist Lawanna Gelzer.
Kaepernick used the visibility of his role as quarterback
of the San Francisco 49ers, to begin a silent protest of police brutality in 2016
by taking a knee during the playing of the National Anthem.
The activism cost Kaepernick his job, but this past season
other NFL players have joined the protest that enraged President Trump who said
players who take a knee should be fired.
In addition to police brutality, marchers in Orlando on
Sunday will also protest gentrification, racism, environmental degradation and
LGBTQ rights.
The demonstrators will meet 1:30 p.m. at Orlando Police headquarters
on the corner of South Street and the Orange Blossom Trail and then march to
Camping World Stadium, where they will take a knee.
