Lavon Williams may be one of the most influential people in Orange County government. Ms. Williams, who hosted the Orange County Community Conference this past weekend, may not be a household name to the average resident but she has played a key role in shaping our communities. Officially, she is the manager of Orange County Community Action. For 20 years she has worked for Orange County in a variety of roles and holds an undergraduate degree from the University of North Florida where she was student government president; a master’s degree from Florida State University in public administration and urban planning and a law degree from the FAMU.
