Deputies killed an unarmed man in Parramore, officials confirmed

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) confirmed that the black man shot to death in Parramore last month by Orange County deputies was unarmed. That information, revealed Wednesday (5/23) by the FDLE, corroborates statements made by numerous bystanders who witnessed the killing of James Bauduy on April 20.  The sheriff’s office said Mr. Bauduy was being sought as a suspect in a homicide. Worried about the cops stopping you for "Driving While Black"?

Fears of being stopped and harassed by police for “Driving While Black” are well founded in numerous studies of racist practices by police.  That subject was explored in detail by the New York Times in an article you can rea...

Mr. Legacy addressed the board Wednesday morning to request the removal of the police union chief and another Orlando police officer who posted hateful, racist messages on social media. In addition to Mr. Legacy there was only a handful of people and city staff at the meeting. neither the meeting time or location are convenient for most working people. Mr. Legacy told the board that he had to take paid time off from his job to attend the meeting. After the meeting, Mr. Legacy said he wants the city to set a more convenient time – at 6 p.m. so that more people can attend the meetings to express their concerns about police. Click here to see...
