Obamacare health-care enrollment starts Wednesday

The Obamacare health insurance enrollment period starts Wednesday (Nov. 1).

Despite the efforts of Congressional Republicans and yammering by President Donald Trump, Obamacare is not dead.

It is alive and is still the law of the land, even though Congressional Republicans keep talking about “repeal and replacing” Obamacare – officially known as the Affordable Care Act.

Trump and the Republicans have been trying to sabotage Obamacare to make it collapse. But since 2010 Obamacare has helped more than 20 million Americans afford life-saving health care.

One of the things Trump has done is shortened the period when people can enroll in Obamacare. In the past people had 3 months to enroll. This year people must enroll by Dec. 15 – 6 weeks from now.

The online system for enrollment will also be shut down on Sundays (supposedly for maintenance).
