Sign petition telling leaders to stop chasing World Cup and solve terrible traffic, public transit, affordable housing and wages

It doesn’t make sense that local officials propose spending $50 million to host the World Cup men’s soccer matches in Orlando when this community has many major problems that need solving.

Those issues include:
·        Terrible traffic congestion
·        Inadequate public transportation
·        Lack of affordable housing
·        Homelessness
·        Many jobs don’t pay a livable wage

If you believe these issues need to be solved before spending money on World Cup soccer, please add your name to our petition by clicking here.

This effort is being spearheaded by 32805 Spotlight, a news and urban affairs radio show and podcast.

This petition is being sent to Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer, Orange County Mayor Jerry Demings and Jason Siegel, director of the Greater Orlando Sports Commission.

Just like your mom made you eat your vegetables before enjoying dessert, we believe common sense requires us to take care of issues at home before inviting the world to our community.

Stand up for common sense by signing our petition here.
